There can be a great deal of client frustration around the delivery
of an analytical project. The same issues arise again and again:
Why can I not use the solution for everything that I
was told I could use it for?
How do I measure the incremental benefit of the solution?
Why, when I implement the solution, is it not as good
as I thought it was?
We've been there ourselves as clients. At Model Citizens, our
core values have been developed to avoid these all too common
pitfalls.
Integrity
The quality of our work is very important to us. We ensure the
right business question is solved using the most appropriate
technique given the data and business model. We are open and
honest with our clients about the value we feel we can or cannot
add and any issues that may hinder delivery. Furthermore, if
we believe we are not suitable to do the work, or that it won't
add business benefit, we won't do it.
Transparency
Problems often occur due to a miscommunication as to what the
solution can, or cannot, deliver. Our answer is simple - open,
regular, business-focussed communication with the client. More
so, we believe it is better for those people doing the work
to talk directly with the client and not through account managers
or sales people. Instead, at Model Citizens we employ business-focussed
analysts with excellent communication skills.
Business Benefit
In everything we do, we recognise that the ultimate objective
is to drive business benefit. We will identify any issues that
might prevent benefit realisation, such as those linked with
data quality or implementing the solution, and change our methodology
accordingly. After developing and deploying any solution, we
will also advise the client how to measure the incremental benefit. |
