Stephen Welch, Founder

Stephen has over 10 years experience of building and managing
blue chip analytics teams. Before founding Model Citizens, as
acting Head of CRM he was integral to implementing Norwich Unions
CRM strategy including scoping and building an analytics infrastructure.
Prior to that he managed CRM and Operational Research teams
across various sectors including retail, publishing and government.
At Debenhams, he was part of the team that integrated the Nectar
loyalty scheme into business as usual, using it to drive business
decisioning across customer segments. A PhD Mathematician, he
is the geek of the team although he is always willing
to develop his human side over a beer or game of squash.
Ian Bobbett, Founder

After 10 years of working in senior insight roles, Ian founded
Model Citizens to employ his extensive experience to aid companies
seeking to implement and improve CRM. With degrees in Pure Maths
and Economics, Ian specialises in the application of mathematical
solutions to real world analytical problems. As well as a strong
analytical background, Ian is able to communicate in laymans
terms and has achieved demonstrable results across multiple
industries including retail, public sector, financial services,
media, telecoms and FMCG. Equally happy coding detailed models
to implementing wider CRM strategy, he passionately believes
in the power of insight to drive improved strategic decision-making
and add value to the bottom-line. A supporter of the All Blacks,
a keen traveller and a fan of a few social drinks, Ian is essentially
indistinguishable from thousands of other Kiwis in London.
Richard Lewis, Director of Analytics

Richard has over 8 years experience across both hands on and
managerial roles in analytics. He has worked in most of the
key vertical sectors, predominantly in marketing. Richard specialises
in rejuvenating marketing processes and has led on many projects
that have introduced and refined targeting optimisation, revenue
management and lifetime value modelling to some of the UKs
leading brands including British Airways, Orange, BSkyB, LloydsTSB,
Admiral Insurance and Skype. Richard joined Model Citizens from
his previous role as Head of Operational Analytics in Experian
ClarityBlue, a function he developed from conception. He has
since enjoyed developing and taking to market some of our significant
new propositions including Uplift Modelling, a pioneering breakthrough
approach for targeted marketing. In his spare time you can find
Richard either tending to his vegetables on the allotment or
jarring preserves in the kitchen. |
